Between Covid cancellations and tournament announcements, it seems our basketball schedule changes as often as Arkansas weather. Here's the update:
--UMPIRE GAME CANCELLED, Thursday, 1/28/21. The Umpire team was forced to quarantine today and had to cancel our game. This game has been rescheduled at HOME for Friday, 2/19/21 530pm JB, SG, SB.
--NEW HOME GAME SET v. Gospel Light SG, SB Friday, 2/5/21 6pm. Because of Covid our regional tournament and state tournament is being spread around to multiple gyms. Consequently, our first game in the Regional 1A East Tournament will happen at our own gym on Friday, 2/5. Our Senior girls and Senior Boys will both play Gospel Light that night. So mark your calendar and let's plan to show up with some good support for our home teams. There's plenty of space for social distancing, etc.
--SENIOR TOURNAMENT: There are three tickets out of regional tournament play to the state tournament, meaning we will play at least one more game if we lose on 2/5. If we win we will play on Monday in Fort Smith. If we lose we will play on Tuesday instead. The State Tournament will be held Thursday-Saturday 2/11-13.
--HCAA Junior High Tournament begins on Monday, 2.1.2021 and will be played in multiple locations. JH Lady Warriors and Warriors will both play on Monday, 2.1.2021 in Magnolia v. Columbia Christian in the first round of the tournament. In the Junior High tournament, 9th graders cannot play. This will be for 6-8 graders only. The girls play at 4pm and the boys at 5:15pm. If the team(s) win, we will play again on Thursday in Fort Smith.
