Founder's Note:
Merry Christmas, Legacy Academy! We wrapped the semester with fun ballgames, an amazing Christmas program, and a joyful service project. It was a great time. This time of year can be full of distractions. Let's all be deliberate to ensure our focus is on God's efforts to redeem mankind. To each of us He extends the opportunity to repent of our sinful ways, turn from our sin, and become true followers of Christ. Christmas represents a powerful rescue mission initiated by God for each of us.
Christmas time also presents an opportunity to spend more time than usual with our children. Don't waste it. Don't miss it. Don't spoil it. This is a great time to play an extra game, watch a fun movie, bake something together, do chores together, and so much more. Children are an inheritance from the Lord. Be deliberate to have a conversation with your children. Help them know what to believe, what to accept, and who they are. You are meant to be the most powerful and proximate conduit of delivering God to their lives. Choose a verse to memorize together. Read a book in the Bible and chat about it.
Seize the Season!

Christmas Program
Legacy Academy wrapped up its first semester with two heartwarming Christmas events: the Christmas Program and the Christmas Service Project. These celebrations brought students, families, and the community together in a joyful conclusion to the year.
The Christmas Program, held on Thursday night, showcased talents from every grade level. Highlights included a delightful performance of An Evening in December performed by Theater students, Christmas carols featuring Lower Level choir and Upper Level singers and guitarists, and inspiring Bible readings.
Christmas Service Project
The 2024 Christmas Service Project was a successful afternoon filled with acts of service and festive cheer! With a special focus on honoring the senior citizens and local community servants who make a difference in Lockesburg, the event recognized the efforts of first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, healthcare workers, and other essential service providers.
Guests were treated to a variety of complimentary services, including free gift wrapping, car vacuuming, games, and delicious holiday treats. To mark the occasion, attendees were also gifted handmade wreaths and Christmas ornaments to take home as a token of appreciation.
This year’s Christmas Service Project exemplified Legacy Academy’s commitment to serving the Lockesburg community and with many in attendance expressing heartfelt thanks, the event was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and service.
Holiday Office Hours
During Christmas break the front office will be closed from December 23rd - 27th and on January 1st.
Bus Drivers & Substitutes Needed
We need substitutes who can help fill positions when a teacher is absent. We also need bus drivers to help transport students to athletic events and field trips. Please see the office for details on each of these. Thank you!
