Service Hours

Freshman-Seniors can earn service hours this week helping teachers and staff close up the school year. If you want to work please reach out to the office and let us know which days and times you can work and we will arrange a task for you.

Off-Season Basketball

For this week, all members of the junior high and senior high basketball teams should aim to get three workouts done in the gym. Coaches will set you up. You'll have the most fun if you come with team mates. To prepare for Otter Camp, please be faithful to get your times in the gym this week. Coaches are on campus this week during the day and also able to set you up for an evening time. Let us know when you are coming! We will have a plan for your ball handling work out, shooting work out, and weight room work out.

Please register for Otter Camp. Scholarships are available if needed but remember that camp has been tremendously subsidized and is offered to LA athletes at a reduced price.

This is a great time for all our pee-wee players to really develop some great skills!

Honor and Awards Ceremony -- May 22nd

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening at our Honor and Awards Ceremony on Thursday. It was a joy to celebrate the hard work, academic excellence, and outstanding character of our students. The night was full of proud moments, from the recognition of our outstanding students to the sweet promotion of our kindergarteners as they prepare to take on first grade. We’re so proud of all our students and grateful for the support of our families and staff who made the evening so special. What a great way to close out the year!

Congratulations Class of 2025!

What a memorable evening we shared at our 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Friday! Surrounded by family, friends, and the Legacy Academy community, we celebrated the achievements and growth of our graduating class as they crossed the stage and stepped into their next chapter. It was a night full of pride, joy, and heartfelt moments as we honored their hard work and the legacy they leave behind.

We proudly recognized our Valedictorian, Oaklee Kimberling Lofton, who graduated with a 4.00 GPA. A founding member of multiple athletic teams and student leadership groups, Oaklee has modeled a life of faith, transformation, and leadership.

We also celebrated our Salutatorian, Osvaldo “Ozzy” Toledano, who graduated with a 3.81 GPA. Ozzy has led in athletics and student council, serving as team captain, Student Council President, and the first leader of House Veritas.

Thank you again to all who attended and helped send off our graduates with love and celebration. Congratulations, Class of 2025! You’ve left a mark on Legacy Academy, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for each of you.

We are now hiring additional teachers for Pre-K, Lower Level, and Upper Level Grades for the 2025-26 school year. Is it you? If not, help us find the best fit!

Please complete your 25-26 EFA Application

Remember that we will accept EFAs as 100% of your tuition obligation next year if you do not qualify for any other assistance. Actual tuition based on true operation costs would be $10,500 annually. However, LA will accept EFA as tuition paid in full. If you qualify for other assistance to cover the additional amount we will help you with those applications. This means we should be able to ensure that not a single LA family has any out-of-pocket tuition expenses! The number of EFAs is not unlimited and over 30,000 Arkansas students have already applied. DO NOT DELAY ANY LONGER. Please complete your application today. The office can help you if needed. If you end up not using it, that's no problem but don't miss the funds available for your student. Families who received EFA for the 2024-2025 school year must still reapply for next year. Families already receiving EFA will need your student(s) individual Student ID Number to complete the application. You can find this on your ClassWallet account.

Parenting Corner

Schools across the country will be conducting "commencement" ceremonies this week and next, celebrating the completion of the educational journey of the class of 2025. Much of the focus will be reflecting and remembering the highs and lows of the past 12 or 13 years and rightfully so. But it seems that there is one thing hiding in plain sight that is overlooked, though not intentionally. The word "commencement" means this:

* To begin or start (expressing intense force)

* To bring or come into activity, being or operation

The commencement is not a finalization, it is an inauguration.

The commencement is not the end of a journey it is the start of a journey

The commencement is not a day of nostalgia - it is a day of vision casting

The commencement is not a day of reflection - it is a day of initiation

The commencement is not a day of former things - it is the beginning of a journey toward future things

The commencement is not a landing - it is a launching

We say congratulations to the Legacy Academy graduating class of 2025! May you run faster, climb higher, soar longer and achieve greater things than those who have gone before you.
