Ball in the 'Burg Invitational Monday & Tuesday 10/23-24

We are excited to host our first-ever invitational tournament! Please come out and support your Lady Warriors and the Warriors as they face the Eagles of Excel Christian Academy from Paris, Texas. Other schools in the tournament will play games between ours.

These games take place on Monday, October 23rd at 6:45 & 8pm respectively.

Come cheer them to victory so they can play in the Championship games the following night! As always, the concession stand will be ready to feed the whole family.

If our teams win, they will play at 5:30pm (SG) and 7:00pm (SB) on Tuesday night.

Cross Country State Meet -- 10/26-27

Our first XC State Meet is upon us! On Thursday, the students will be leaving school at 11:45 am. Once we arrive in Siloam Springs, our first order of business will be familiarizing ourselves with the John Brown University course. After that, we will grab some dinner together. Following dinner, we will settle into Camp Siloam for the evening.

On Friday, we will be heading to John Brown University (2000 W University St, Siloam Springs, AR 72761).We will arrive at 8:45 am. To help you plan your day, the schedule provided to us by the HCAA for the race start times is as follows:

  • High School Girls (9th - 12th): 9:40 am (5K)

  • High School Boys (9th - 12th): 10:20 am (5K)

  • Jr. High Girls (6th - 8th): 11:00 am (2 miles)

  • Jr. High Boys (6th - 8th): 11:30 am (2 miles)

A rolling start will be used if we fall behind. Please keep in mind that there will be a $5 charge per car by the HCAA.

Additionally, please don’t forget the $25 accommodation fee here per student and/or chaperone. They will also need money for meals and snacks.

For those staying in the bunkhouse, please make sure to bring the following items in addition to clothing and uniforms/shoes: bedding (pillow, sheet, and blanket/sleeping bag), toiletries, and towels.

Report Cards & Profiles -- Fr 10/27

Our first report cards are scheduled to go home on Friday along with student profiles. For new families, student profiles are a written document that summarizes what your students are learning and how they are doing academically, socially, and in their character.

We encourage you to look over these as tools to help you in parenting and in partnering with the school. Any questions about the Lower Level report cards or profiles can be directed to your student's homeroom teacher; Upper-Level questions can be directed to Ms. Shelton or the specific subject teacher.

Oratory Program -- 11/2 @ 6pm

Our Oratory Program is happening on Thursday, November 2. This is a great night as our upper-level students perform speeches, poems, readings, and scriptures from historical events, the literature they are studying, and much more.

Students will receive their reading parts on Monday along with some tips for how to learn and practice. We are looking forward to hearing our students perform. Ask them to recite their reading for you at home too!

BUS DRIVERS NEEDED

We are in need of bus drivers for away games and events. We need several volunteers and we can help you get set up to do so. Email office@legacymail.org if you are willing.

MOWING

We need someone to mow and weed-eat on campus, especially behind the main school building.
