Thankful

Living a thankful life is so simple and so very underrated, yet profoundly impactful. Thankfulness matters.

A thankful heart can lift any spirit and encourage any soul. Whenever one feels down or distressed--simply giving thanks for his blessings--for literally anything can be transformative. Thankfulness is an internal spiritual quality, not simply an external action.

We see throughout the Psalms that thankfulness is the portal to accessing God and that the heart of every human in relationship with the Creator of all things is ultimately at the core: thankful.

Certainly, we can all accentuate what is wrong or broken in our lives. We can complain, grumble, despair, groan, whine, pout, or even become bitter. Yet, these things fail to change our circumstances; all the while they change us internally for the worse.

"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones." Proverbs 17:22

Gratitude fills our hearts with joy and consequently gives us access to an abundance of strength (Nehemiah 8:10). No one has ever died from a thankful heart!

As the nation pauses for a day of family and gratitude, we want to say how grateful to the Lord we are for all He has done for our school. He alone has established Legacy Academy through His abundant kindness and continual grace. His provision has been sufficient, even abundant and His presence with us unquestionable. We are especially grateful for each of our students and your families. Today, we give thanks for you and pray that God will bless you, provide for you, watch over you, perfect all that concerns you, and lead you in a life that is pleasing to Him--putting Him first and above all else, at all times.

Happy Thanksgiving, Legacy Academy family.
