A Special Thank You
We want to offer a special thank-you to Mr. Smallwood for his service at Legacy Academy. Mr. Smallwood will not be returning to teach and coach this year so he can devote more time to his family and his church ministry.
While we trust the Lord to guide these moments, things like this always create mixed emotions! We deeply appreciate all the time invested at LA, especially in Warrior Athletics by Mr. Smallwood. He promises to be a super fan and stay as connected and involved as possible.
He will be at the House Party this week and around campus, helping us transition into the new year as the school year approaches.

Welcome New Team Members!
We are so excited to welcome the following new team members:
Mr. Robbins—As a member of the Hospitality team, Mr. Robbins will lead our Maintenance and groundskeeping efforts, working closely with Ms. Gilmore. He’s already off to a great start!
Ms. Magana—As a member of our Hospitality team, she will serve with Ms. Gilmore, helping with housekeeping, food service, and overall campus care.
Mrs. Robbins—We are especially excited to welcome Mrs. Robbins, who will join our Empowerment Lab team and help oversee the Warrior Shop, along with other special initiatives for teachers and students. She comes to us with nearly two decades of teaching and instructional facilitating experience, as well as great success as an entrepreneur and business owner.
Please take time to welcome these new team members to the Warrior family!
House Party This Thursday!
Join us Thursday, July 30, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. for an evening of dinner, games, fellowship, and friendly House competition!
Bring the whole family, wear your House colors, and come ready to earn points for your House while enjoying a delicious dinner prepared by Ms. Gilmore! Everyone is invited—we hope to see you there!
Service Hours Available!
We have a lot of work to do on campus as we clean, organize, and prepare for the new school year, which means there are plenty of opportunities for students to complete service hours!
Take advantage of this time to get a head start on your hours while helping us prepare our campus for another great school year!

Curriculum Fees Due August 1
Curriculum fees for the 2026–2027 school year are due by August 1, 2026.
As a reminder, this is a once-a-year fee of $200 for K-12 and $100 for PK. These fees help cover curriculum materials and resources used throughout the school year. We appreciate your timely payment as we prepare for another successful year of learning. You can pay online or in the front office.

It’s almost time to start checking off those school supply lists!
Arkansas Tax-Free Weekend is August 1–2, and Texas Tax-Free Weekend is August 7–9, making it a great time to get your back-to-school shopping done and save a little along the way.

K-2 Grade Reading Camp!
We are excited to invite your child to our Reading Camp, a special three-morning experience designed to spark a love for books and stories!
From August 4–6, incoming Kindergarten–2nd grade students will enjoy engaging reading activities each day from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Lunch is provided, and the cost is $25 per student.
On Thursday, students are invited to bring their favorite book and come dressed as their favorite book character. We look forward to sharing a joyful week of reading adventures with your child!
Zoology Camp Recap
Students entering 7th grade and up are invited to join Mrs. Deal for four days of hands-on exploration and discovery at Upper Level Zoology Camp! Camp will be held July 20–23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and costs $35 per camper.
Throughout the week, students will explore the world of animal science through exciting field and laboratory activities. Campers will learn how to safely find and handle reptiles and amphibians, set sand and hair traps to survey local mammal populations, pin and preserve arthropods for display, and practice birdwatching as they observe and identify local species.
This camp is a great opportunity for students to get outside, investigate the natural world, and gain hands-on experience with the methods zoologists use to study wildlife!

We are prayerfully planning for the 2026–2027 school year and would love to know your family’s intentions. If you anticipate your student returning to Legacy Academy, please take a moment to complete the Re-Enrollment Application. Your response helps us plan effectively for classes, staffing, and resources. We are grateful for your continued partnership!
Make it a WIN-WIN: If a new family enrolls new students and lists you as the referral reason they are applying, then you will receive a $250 credit in the Warrior Shop for the next school year!
We are Hiring!
For NEXT YEAR: We are hiring support staff: food service/housekeeping. We are also hiring daycare team members at Bright Beginnings.
2026-2027 Academic Calendar
The 2026–2027 Academic Calendar is now available!
While the calendar is considered final for planning purposes, please note that minor adjustments may occasionally be necessary throughout the year. Any changes will be communicated through the weekly newsletter and reflected on the school Google Calendar.
We encourage families to save a copy of the calendar and refer to the Google Calendar regularly for the most up-to-date information.
