This Week

Theater Camp | July 7-10

Theater Camp is here! This week, our campers are learning, rehearsing, and getting ready to perform Fish Tales 2: Good Fish for Resurrection Day, a fun and engaging musical that shares the powerful story of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Throughout the week, students are working together to learn songs, memorize lines, and bring the production to life on stage. But Theater Camp is about much more than preparing for a performance. Each day, campers spend time worshiping together, studying God’s Word, and learning more about His plan of redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Our prayer is that through every lesson, song, and moment together, students will grow in their understanding of who God is, draw closer to Him, and allow His Word to take root in their hearts.

We invite our Legacy families and friends to join us for the performance of Fish Tales 2 on Friday, July 10, at 3:00 p.m. Come support our young performers and enjoy the culmination of a wonderful week of learning, creativity, fellowship, worship, and fun!

XC Practice | July 8th

Cross Country practice begins Wednesday, July 8th from 6:30–8:00 AM and will continue throughout the summer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30–8:00 AM.

XC is open to all students in 6th–12th grade, whether you're an experienced runner or have never run a race before. Cross country is about much more than speed—it's about perseverance, discipline, encouragement, and accomplishing things you didn't think were possible.

Students are required to wear their athletics uniform and wear comfortable running shoes with good traction/grip that are ready to handle trails, grass, hills, and plenty of miles. Don't forget a water bottle!

Canning Camp Recap

At Canning Camp this week, students learned the art and science of safely preserving food! Campers explored proper canning techniques, food safety guidelines, the history of canning, and the importance of following tested recipes to ensure food is preserved safely.

Throughout the camp, students learned which foods are best suited for different canning methods, gained hands-on experience using canning equipment, and worked together to prepare and can homemade vegetable soup.

A special thank you to Mrs. Talley, Mrs. Spoo, and Mrs. McCleskey for sharing their time, knowledge, and talents to make this camp such a wonderful learning experience for our students!
