Legacy Book Club Tomorrow!

Legacy Book Club will continue reading J.R.R. Tolkien’s Roverandom on Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the event room at Stilwell’s in De Queen. Come join us as we continue following Roverandom’s adventures on the moon!

Zoology Camp | July 20–23

Students entering 7th grade and up are invited to join Mrs. Deal for four days of hands-on exploration and discovery at Upper Level Zoology Camp! Camp will be held July 20–23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and costs $35 per camper.

Throughout the week, students will explore the world of animal science through exciting field and laboratory activities. Campers will learn how to safely find and handle reptiles and amphibians, set sand and hair traps to survey local mammal populations, pin and preserve arthropods for display, and practice birdwatching as they observe and identify local species.

This camp is a great opportunity for students to get outside, investigate the natural world, and gain hands-on experience with the methods zoologists use to study wildlife!

Service Hours Available!

We have a lot of work to do on campus as we clean, organize, and prepare for the new school year, which means there are plenty of opportunities for students to complete service hours!

Take advantage of this time to get a head start on your hours while helping us prepare our campus for another great school year!

House Party | July 30 - UPDATED!

Important House Day Change!

Please note that the previously announced House Day plans have changed. House Day will now be a House Party on Thursday, July 30, from 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Instead of a daytime event, this will be a relaxed evening for the whole family! Enjoy dinner, games, community, and friendly House competitions. Represent your House and wear your house colors! Everyone is invited to join the fun! Please take a second to RSVP HERE so we can get a head count for food! Thank you and see you there! Go, Warriors!

Curriculum Fees Due August 1

Curriculum fees for the 2026–2027 school year are due by August 1, 2026.

As a reminder, this is a once-a-year fee of $200 for K-12 and $100 for PK. These fees help cover curriculum materials and resources used throughout the school year. We appreciate your timely payment as we prepare for another successful year of learning. You can pay online or in the front office.

It’s almost time to start checking off those school supply lists!

Arkansas Tax-Free Weekend is August 1–2, and Texas Tax-Free Weekend is August 7–9, making it a great time to get your back-to-school shopping done and save a little along the way.

K-2 Grade Reading Camp!

We are excited to invite your child to our Reading Camp, a special three-morning experience designed to spark a love for books and stories! From August 4–6, incoming Kindergarten–2nd grade students will enjoy engaging reading activities each day from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Lunch is provided, and the cost is $25 per student. On Thursday, students are invited to bring their favorite book and come dressed as their favorite book character. We look forward to sharing a joyful week of reading adventures with your child!

Wild About Zoology!

Our 3rd–6th grade Zoology Camp was full of wild facts, fun games, and exciting discoveries! Campers learned about marsupials such as Tasmanian devils and wombats, played games while pretending to be different animals, and discovered all kinds of interesting facts about the animal kingdom.

They also learned about mutualism—when two different animals help one another. Did you know that some spiders allow tiny frogs to live in their burrows? The frog eats insects that could harm the spider’s eggs, and the spider provides the frog with protection. It is almost like the spider has a pet frog!

Thank you to Mrs. Deal and everyone who helped make Zoology Camp such a fun and educational experience!

Work Hard, Play Hard

Warrior Basketball Camp was packed with energy, hard work, and plenty of fun! Campers strengthened their basic basketball fundamentals while practicing ball handling, completing conditioning exercises, and working together through team drills.

The gym was full of movement, encouragement, competition, and teamwork as students challenged themselves and improved their skills. Work hard, play hard!

Enrollment for 2026–2027 is open!

We are prayerfully planning for the 2026–2027 school year and would love to know your family’s intentions. If you anticipate your student returning to Legacy Academy, please take a moment to complete the Re-Enrollment Application. Your response helps us plan effectively for classes, staffing, and resources. We are grateful for your continued partnership!

Make it a WIN-WIN: If a new family enrolls new students and lists you as the referral reason they are applying, then you will receive a $250 credit in the Warrior Shop for the next school year!

We are Hiring!

For NEXT YEAR: We are hiring support staff: food service/housekeeping. We are also hiring daycare team members at Bright Beginnings.

The 2026–2027 Academic Calendar is now available!

While the calendar is considered final for planning purposes, please note that minor adjustments may occasionally be necessary throughout the year. Any changes will be communicated through the weekly newsletter and reflected on the school Google Calendar.

We encourage families to save a copy of the calendar and refer to the Google Calendar regularly for the most up-to-date information.
