Senior High regional tournament play took place today in Magnolia for the Lady Warriors and Warriors. Lady Warriors got a big win over Columbia, while the Senior boys fell a couple of points short in a nail-biter. Senior girls will play for the regional championship on Monday night back in Magnolia, while the boys will play in Hot Springs tomorrow (Friday) night and then in Magnolia Monday. They must win both of those games to get a ticket to the state tournament.
State tournament play begins in Fort Smith on Tuesday. Teams that advance will play Tuesday, Friday, Saturday.
So parents and fans, buckle up--we've got one crazy, hardcore schedule of basketball for the next few days:
FRIDAY, 2/11/22:
Senior Boys v Valley Christian (Russellville) 8:30pm at Hot Springs (Gym Address: 109 W Belding St, Hot Springs, AR 71901)
Plan: Normal Practice Friday afternoon. We will feed the Senior Boys at 5pm at the school and leave a 6pm. Parents, if you want to help with food please reply on REMIND or check in with the office Friday morning.
The bus will leave at 6pm. Upper level students who want to go and cheer on the boys may ride along to do so.
SATURDAY, 2/12/22:
JG and JB play in state championship! At Wright Christian School 11391 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK 74036
JG v. Liberty Christian 230pm
JB v. Prism 4pm
Plan: Players must be at the gym by 815am to dress and load up. We will leave Campus at 8:30am. We will stop and eat along the way around 11ish so it isn't too close to the girls' game. Upper Level students and parents may ride the bus so long as there is room. Others are encouraged to carpool. It would be great to have a big fan base there to support them in the championship!
MONDAY, 2/14/22 (Happy Valentine's Day!)
SB (if they win Friday) play 430pm to get seeded into the state tournament bracket! @Columbia Christian in Magnolia .
SG play in Regional Championship game at 530pm.
Plan: We will leave campus at 130pm.
No Junior High practice Monday or Tuesday next week.
TUESDAY, 2/15/22
Senior Boys (if they win Friday and Monday)--Play in first round of state tournament at 4pm in Fort Smith.
Senior Girls (their first game in state tournament is secure): Will play 530pm in Fort Smith.
Plan: We will leave campus at noon.
Thanks for everyone's dedication and sacrifice to make this all happen for our players. It will be a tiring run for us but these are great times and memories with our kids!
