Scholar Induction Ceremony-- Thursday, Sept 18
Our first formal event of the year, Scholar Induction, will take place on Thursday, September 18th, at 6:30 p.m.
All K–12 students are required to attend. Formal uniform required for all K-12.
This special ceremony marks an important milestone in the life of our school. It is designed to induct students into their next stage of learning at Legacy Academy. During the evening, our oldest students are charged with the responsibility of living honorably, upholding the school’s values, and setting an example for younger scholars. Rhetoric-level students will be formally initiated as Legacy Academy Scholars, receive their charge, and be presented with their navy blazers—an enduring symbol of their role as upperclassmen and role models.
Students at every level will also be promoted to their next rank: new Logic-level students (7–9) will become Apprentices, grades 3–6 will be recognized as Protégés, and K–2 students will be named Rookies. Each student will be reminded of their role and commitment within our school community.

9/21, This SUNDAY: Upper Level Boys Float Trip!
Sunday afternoon, 9/21, we will host a float trip for all Upper Level boys. The cost is $25 per person. We will begin with burgers for the boys at Dr. Lofton's house at 1245pm on Sunday and will head over to float on Mountain Fork thereafter. We will send out a sign-up registration link via Remind this week. We will need a count by Thursday.
9/23, Next Tuesday--Family Picnic Night
Mark your calendars! On Tuesday from 6:00–7:30pm, we’re kicking back for an evening of food, fun, and family time at our Family Picnic Night.
What to bring:
Chairs or blankets for lounging
Yard games to share (cornhole, frisbee, etc.)
A simple picnic supper for your crew (sandwiches + chips = perfect!)
What we’ll provide:
Cold water & sweet tea
A few fun organized games
A cool treat to end the night
Bring your people, bring your picnic, and come ready to laugh, play, and make some memories with other families. We can’t wait to see you there!
Pee Wee Basketball
Hey Pee Wee Warrior Parents! Let’s get ready for a great season of peewee basketball! Registration forms have gone out in Remind and fees can be paid in the front office or online. As always, we are a small school and need all of our kids to play, if they are physically able, so help us get the kids signed up and encouraged to play. Work Hard, Play Hard!
Weekly Assembly
Every Monday at 2:15 pm, we will have our school-wide weekly worship and assembly. Parents are always welcome to attend!
Warrior Shop Clearance!
While you’re ordering uniforms from the Legacy Academy School Store, be sure to check out the clearance section in the Warrior Shop! You might find great deals on Legacy gear and spirit wear—perfect for showing your school pride without breaking the budget.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAST WEEK:
Acorn Track Meet Highlights
Our Warriors and Lady Warriors kicked off their cross country season at the Tom Stuthard Stampede hosted by Acorn High School on Tuesday, September 9th.
It was an incredible first meet with many PRs shattered and three medals earned:
🥇 Hannah Grace Lofton – Junior High Girls
🥇 Jude Gallagher – Senior Boys
🥇 Silas Lofton – Senior Boys
We are so proud of the effort these athletes have already put in! Since early July mornings, they’ve been training hard, showing perseverance and heart every step of the way. Coach Webb shared: “Their hard work and ability to persevere is inspiring—it’s just fun that the season has begun.”
Grandparents Day Lunch Recap
On Monday, September 8, we were blessed to welcome Legacy grandparents to campus for our Grandparents’ Day Lunch! It was a sweet time of fellowship as grandparents shared a meal with their grandchildren in the cafeteria. From Kindergarten through 12th grade, the joy and laughter around the tables reminded us of the important role grandparents play in the lives of our students. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating this special day!
4-H Back-to-School Bash Recap
What a splash! Our 4-H Back-to-School Bash was a huge hit on September 12th at the Bartek home. From the giant slip-n-slide to the legendary cold-water plunge tank, kids had a blast kicking off the year with plenty of laughter (and a little bit of shivering!). Families enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, desserts, and lots of fellowship together.
Now it’s time to keep the momentum going! Our first regular 4-H meeting will be Wednesday, October 1st at 3:00 p.m. in the Legacy Academy cafeteria. If your child (ages 5–18) is not yet a 4-Her, this is the perfect time to join the fun.
