This Week

Outdoor Survival Camp | June 5-6

Legacy Academy is excited to offer an Outdoor Survival Camp for boys entering 6th grade and older on June 5–6!

This overnight outdoor adventure will give students the opportunity to learn basic outdoor survival skills, enjoy time in nature, build friendships, and camp overnight together for a fun and memorable experience.

The cost for the camp is $30 per student. In order to finalize food and supply needs, all participants must sign up by May 29th.

If your family has a tent available to loan for the event, please let us know by emailing office@legacymail.org.

We are looking forward to a great time of adventure, learning, and fellowship outdoors!

June 8th-Basketball Camp Update!

Coach Otter has a conflict and will not be with us the week of June 8th as planned.

We will send out a reminder with more details for that week asap.

We will see if we can add more dates, but for sure, plan that we will be there on Monday, June 8th, for a full day camp for all ages for those entering 2nd grade and up. The day will run 8 am-3 pm. Lunch will be served! The cost is $10 per camper.

Service Hours!!!

There are a LOT of opportunities for service hours every day on campus. Contact Mr. Smallwood, Ms. Gilmore, or the office!

June 16 | Culinary Camp

Get ready for a fun-filled culinary adventure! Our upcoming Culinary Camp will give students hands-on experience in the kitchen while building important math, reading, and creativity skills.

During camp, students will:

• 📏 Learn how to use and understand cooking measurements

• 📖 Follow picture recipes to create delicious treats independently

• 🎂 Practice cake decorating techniques and design their own edible masterpieces

• 👩‍🍳 Build confidence, teamwork, and kitchen safety skills

This exciting camp is perfect for young chefs who love to create, learn, and have fun. We can’t wait to see our students mix, measure, bake, and decorate their way through an unforgettable culinary experience!

Summer Camp Service Hours Available:

Students interested in working at summer camps for service hours should contact Mr. Smallwood. This is an excellent time to get started, get caught up, or get ahead on those service hours! 

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAST WEEK

Grand View Prairie Field Trip

Lower-Level had a wonderful time at Grandview Prairie Wildlife Management Area on May 18! 🌾🎣🦉 Students began the day fishing and ended it by meeting Teddy the owl.

Throughout the day, K–6th grade students explored one of the few remaining native prairie ecosystems in Arkansas through a guided nature hike. As they walked the trails, students learned about the unique grasses, wildflowers, wildlife, and plant species that make Southwest Arkansas so special.

During the hike, students practiced identifying poisonous and nonpoisonous plants, including several known for medicinal uses. After lunch, they were introduced to an alligator and several species of snakes while learning about the important role these animals play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. It was a fun-filled day of hands-on learning, discovery, and growing appreciation for God’s incredible creation!

Commencement Ceremony

Legacy Academy celebrated the Class of 2026 on Thursday evening with a beautiful Commencement Ceremony surrounded by family, friends, teachers, and the school community.

Graduates Skylar were honored for their hard work, leadership, perseverance, and the impact they have made during their time at Legacy Academy. The evening included heartfelt speeches, special moments of reflection, and a joyful celebration of all God has done in their lives throughout their educational journey.

Following the ceremony, families and guests gathered in the auditorium for a reception celebrating the graduates and the many memories made along the way.

Graduation is always one of the most meaningful nights of the year at Legacy Academy as we send students out into the next season of life equipped to pursue God’s calling with wisdom, faith, and courage. We are incredibly proud of Skylar and James and look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to guide their futures.

Don’t Miss Your EFA Renewal!

Time is ticking! Make sure to renew your EFA application as soon as possible to avoid any interruptions in your benefits. Renewing early ensures you stay covered and keeps your application on track—don’t wait until the last minute!

Please Note:

• A separate survey is required for each student account if you have multiple students in EFA.

• You will be asked to confirm next year’s grade level and school.

• All questions must be completed before submitting the survey.

New EFA Applicants

Students who are new to the EFA program must complete an application through FACTS. If you need assistance with the renewal or application process, please contact Mrs. Hernandez or Mrs. Kesterson in the front office.

Re-Enrollment for 2026–2027 is now open!

We are already prayerfully planning for the 2026–2027 school year and would love to know your family’s intentions. If you anticipate your student returning to Legacy Academy, please take a moment to complete the Re-Enrollment Application by March 6th. Your response helps us plan effectively for classes, staffing, and resources. We are grateful for your continued partnership!

Make it a WIN-WIN: If a new family enrolls new students and lists you as the referral reason they are applying, then you will receive a $250 credit in the Warrior Shop for the next school year!

For NEXT YEAR: We are hiring support staff: food service/housekeeping and grounds/maintenance. We are also hiring daycare team members at Bright Beginnings.
