News | Week of January 26

WILL WE HAVE SCHOOL MONDAY, 1/26?

We don't know yet. We are watching to see how the roads clear off and will make an announcement as soon as possible. Please monitor our Facebook page for announcements.

Founder's Note:

Winter weather Is both a nuisance and a blessing. It's tough to be cold, protect the water line, hope for electricity, stay warm, and if you have a farm, keep all the chores done up in frigid conditions. Yet, it is a blessing, as well, because it allows the world to pause a little and each family to be together in their homes. Take advantage of the time together. Play a game, build a puzzle, go outside and play, or make soup or cookies together. Time together is a treasure. Use it to build Christ into the hearts of your children. If we don't build Christ in them, if we don't teach them what God's word says, if we don't share His deep and personal love for them, if we don't make them aware of the enemy's lies and temptations--then who will? I pray that during this winter pause, we all have some beautiful God-moments with our families!

Including joyful fellowship, fun activities, a photo booth, a guest speaker, and a muffin baking contest, this will be an event you and your daughter won't want to miss! More details will be coming soon, including sign-up forms for the baking competition—so start planning now and perfecting your recipe.

  • Savory & Hearty – Meal-worthy options featuring ingredients like cheese, bacon, egg, spinach, or jalapeños

  • Chocolate Indulgence – Muffins where chocolate shines, such as chocolate chip or double chocolate banana

We look forward to beginning this day by celebrating the beautiful women and young ladies that you are, and the special bond God has created between mothers and daughters.

Carnival of Culture

We are excited to announce that our Carnival of Culture will take place on February 24th from 2:00–3:00 PM! This event is designed to bring together our classical education approach across all grade levels, connecting students through shared learning in history, literature—both real world and fictional—and cultures from around the globe.

Our aim is to deepen students’ understanding, foster compassion, and broaden their knowledge of both God and the world He has made. Each class will participate in unique ways, exploring a different culture or time period through hands-on activities, history connections, and literature-based learning.

Families are invited to attend! We will begin in the cafeteria at 2:00 PM with a short introduction and directions before students guide you through their cultural stations.

Teachers will send specific instructions or requests related to your student(s) through Remind, so please keep an eye on your messages for class-level details.

Thank you for your support—we look forward to celebrating this enriching school-wide experience together!

Highlights of the Past Week

Mrs. Bean's toddler class made sensory bins out of confetti, dyed rice, and pasta!

Perks of these work by engaging multiple senses and the brain simultaneously, sensory bins create a strong foundation for more complex learning, helping toddlers understand concepts like volume, cause-and-effect, and spatial relationships through play.

Caught in the Act... Of Kindness!

Kindness is contagious—and we’ve got the proof! Check out who’s been ‘caught in the act of kindness’ this week, spreading good vibes all around our school!
