Founder's Note:
The Bible talks a great deal about anger. It's an interesting thing, as it can be sneaky and subtle in our hearts. Many times, others won't know it exists, but God knows. Jesus even tells us in Matthew 5:21-24 that anger held in your heart against your brother is the same as murdering him. That's a big deal. God doesn't want you to entertain anger! We have to help our students learn and model this, as well. God rejects holding anger, being quick to react in anger, getting revenge, and unforgiveness. If we allow it to stay in our hearts in any way, it displeases God and hurts our relationship with God. Ephesians 4:26-27 states that if we don't resolve our internal anger and let it go, we actually give satan an opportunity to work in our lives. We don't want that! Colossians 3:13 “Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.” God expects that even when we've been wrong, we must forgive--just as Christ forgave us in our sin and failure. The verse is clear--if you have a complaint against ANYONE, forgive! Let us all work faithfully to live these verses and to help our children adopt these ways of the Lord.
James 1:19-20 “…everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.”

Highlights of the Past Week
Music Class Goodies!
The 1/2 and 3/4 music classes got to open up new instruments this week. A Weyerhaeuser grant helped make it possible for each student to have an 8-note desk bell set to use in class. The kids have already been working on "Hot, Cross Buns" and "Los Pollitos Dicen" (a Spanish nursery rhyme song). Here are some photos of them in action:
Sweet Surprises: Our Letters to Chocolate Companies!"
While reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we wrote letters to various chocolate companies. To our delight, we received a wonderful response from Kopper- Kettle Candies! They expressed their appreciation for our interest and sent us a sweet surprise to share with our class.
Mrs. Spoo’ Physical Science class Demonstrates Newton’s Third Law in Action
A hands-on classroom activity featuring racing balloons vividly demonstrates Newton’s Third Law of Motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In the experiment, air rushing out of an inflated balloon creates a backward force as it is expelled. In response, the balloon is pushed forward with an equal force, causing it to race along a string or across a space.
This simple and engaging demonstration helps students clearly see how forces work in pairs, reinforcing a foundational principle of physics through observation and experimentation. Racing balloons turn an abstract scientific law into an exciting, memorable learning experience.
Caught in the Act... Of Kindness!
Kindness is contagious—and we’ve got the proof! Check out who’s been ‘caught in the act of kindness’ this week, spreading good vibes all around our school!
