As we enter the last week of the semester, we are very grateful for each of our Legacy students and their families. We have so much to be grateful for! Even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic and all the difficulties, it has visited upon all of us--we are so grateful to be serving your students.
This week's basketball schedule:
--Monday, 430pm AWAY in Eagletown (Gym Address: 25 School St, Eagletown, OK 74734)
Teams playing: 5/6 Girls, 5/6 Boys, Junior High Girls, Junior High Boys.
The bus will leave at 315pm. Players should go to the gym at 3pm to get ready. Players may ride on the bus or with parents. Let coaches or the office know if your player is riding with you.
There is NO practice for 3/4 boys Monday since we will be in Eagletown.
--Friday: We will travel to Magnolia on Friday for games for Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls, and Senior Boys. (GYM ADDRESS: 250 Warnock Springs Rd, Magnolia, AR 71753) It is a road trip but since these games were all so very close when we hosted last week, we hope to have a good group of fans go on the road with us to support the teams. The following Covid restrictions apply at Columbia: vouchers will be issued to limit the number of total fans (call or email the office know if you want a ticket to attend 870.642.8937 or firstname.lastname@example.org), temperatures will be taken at the door, masks are required for fans, and players not on the court, and coaches.
Saturday: All Pee Wee Teams will play at home on Saturday, December 19th. Games begin at 9am beginning with 3/4 girls, followed by 3/4 boys, 5/6 girls, 5/6 boys. We will be hosting Foreman. 3/4 girls should be at the school at 845am. We need parents to sign up to take gate, work the concession stand, and clean up afterwards. (Foreman does not have a 3/4 girls team so our 3/4 girls will scrimmage one another to get a little experience.)

--Monday, December 21st: We will have HOME basketball games on the first night of Christmas break! Games will begin at 4pm. JB, SG, SBs will host Valley Christian from Russellville. It will be a fun night of basketball. We thought it would be fun to make it a holiday themed night so bring any "jingle bells" you can and ring those bells every time the home team scores!
Parents, we really need additional help for all basketball games: Pee wee, junior games, and senior games! We need workers for the front gate, concession stand, and clean up. For Pee Wee games, we also need a volunteer to run the scoreboard. If every family worked at least once we would easily cover all needs. Please call or email the office to offer to work: email@example.com 870.642.8937)
Because of Covid, there will be no live Christmas program on Thursday evening. Instead, we will be putting together a fun Christmas project to post online for parents and families to enjoy. On Friday, students will also work on homemade ornaments as gifts.
Don't forget your best Christmas shopping is available through the Warrior Shop. Come browse on any school day or at the last home game or shop online anytime!!! CLICK HERE TO SHOP!
Remember that we are on Christmas break for two weeks beginning Monday, December 21st. We will return to school on January 4, 2021!
We want to offer our most heartfelt condolences to the Jerome Edwards family (student: Caliyah Scott's grandfather) and the family of Larry Hutson (student: Brylee Hutson's grandfather) for their loss. We offer our love, sympathy, and prayers.
NEW YEAR IS NEAR
We are grateful for each of you and for God's abounding love and care toward us that continues to bless and sustain our school. We look forward to 2021 together with each of you!
