Christmas Program -- Thursday, 19th, 6:30 pm

Parents, we are thrilled to invite you to our exciting Christmas Program on Thursday, December 19, at 6:30 PM! This special event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate  God sending His son, Jesus to the earth to rescue us together as a community. Students should arrive by 6:00 PM and gather on the visitor side of the bleachers. Attendance is required, and students must wear their formal uniform and shoes for this meaningful event.

Students in Mrs. Wright's Theater classes will be told what costumes (if any) they will need to wear. These students should arrive in formal uniform and change when instructed.

We look forward to honoring the true reason for the season and showcasing the hard work our students have put into this performance!

Quick Clean-Up / Set-Up Help Needed After the Program!

After the show, we will also need some help tidying up and readying the auditorium for the Service Project. If you can stay for 20 minutes to help, we would be very appreciative.

Christmas Service Project -- Friday, December 20

The Christmas Service Project is this Friday, December 20 at 12:30 PM in the Legacy Academy auditorium.

This year we are doing something a little different. We will open the school to community servants (first responders, volunteer firefighters) and to local senior citizens. They are invited to join us for an afternoon of service, where they can bring gifts for our students to wrap, have their cars vacuumed, play games, and enjoy some treats.

We ask each family to bring 1 dozen cookies, 1 roll of wrapping paper, and a roll of tape. Please send these items to the school by December 16.

Parenting Corner

As we enter this holiday season here are a few suggestions to help reduce family stress and fully enter in to the joy of the season

1. Rest - Take time for physical, emotional, and most importantly, spiritual renewal and refreshing. Don’t get lost in the rush of Christmas. Take time to rest.

2. Realistic Expectations - Sometimes we can get so emotionally wrapped in the day that we feel empty and emotionally drained. Enjoy the small things and let your time with family and friends be the most important part of the season.

3. Release - Now would be the ideal time to reset your heart, let go of past hurts and offenses, receive and give the gift of forgiveness, and be refreshed for a new day.

4. Resist - Don’t overspend or overextend.

5. Remember - Don’t lose sight of why we celebrate. Be caught up again in the wonder, majesty, and miracle of God becoming a man so He could deliver us from our darkness.

He is Emmanuel - God with us!

Bus Drivers & Substitutes Needed

We need substitutes who can help fill positions when a teacher is absent. We also need bus drivers to help transport students to athletic events and field trips. Please see the office for details on each of these. Thank you!
