Catalyst-- October 6th

Catalyst is Legacy's new program designed especially for our high school students who want to develop their own personal journey of faith in Christ. Mr. Wright and Ms. Gallagher are leading this endeavor, which will include times of worship, Bible study, teaching, and small group discussion. The date of the next Catalyst meeting is Thursday, October 6.

All Freshman to Senior students are invited!

Fall Break

Fall Break is coming up soon. There is no school Friday, October 7 and Monday, October 10.

10/14 Warrior Day, Ms. Fisk Benefit & Navy-White Night

October 14th is a bumper day in the Warrior calendar, with Warrior Day happening during the school day, the Ashlee Fisk Benefit Dinner in the auditorium at 5pm (with to go plates!), and Navy-White Night in the gym from 6pm to kick off the basketball season!

Parents, we will need volunteers for all three of these components.

If you want to help at Warrior Day, please contact Mrs. Kesterson at cynthia.kesterson@legacymail.org

If you are able to help either providing food or organizing the Benefit Dinner, contact Mrs. McCleskey at leslie.mccleskey@legacymail.org

If you want to participate in the parent v. student basketball games in the evening, contact Mr. Smallwood at tim.smallwood@legacymail.org

Uniform

Parents, please make yourselves familiar with the uniform guidelines for your students. It can be found in the student handbook, which was handed out at Family Orientation and is also available here on our website.

Please specifically note that girls' skirts should reach the back of the knee at least and that pants should not be skin-tight. Students out of compliance will either need their parents to bring them items to correct the issue or to buy the items needed from the Warrior Shop.

Founders Meetings

One of our newest initiatives this year is the Founders Meetings, where small groups of parents are invited to meet and talk Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher without children. If you receive your invite, please do all you can to be able to make the day that you are invited to. Let us know swiftly if you run into any other issues.

RECENT ACTIVITIES:

Scholar Induction

Legacy Academy's Scholar Induction was a wonderful celebration on Thursday evening as we welcomed five sophomores into the rank of Scholar. Our Scholars are among our upperclassmen charged to uphold the values, ways, and standards of Legacy Academy and the Word of God - Strength, Virtue, and Excellence.

Our newest scholars - Oaklee Lofton, Rayne McDonald, Layne Schroer, Ozzy Toledano, and Joshua Tucker - made their pledge before their peers, the school body, their families, and the wider community: to be leaders who serve sacrificially, to unswervingly follow the ways of the Lord, and to be role models of righteous young men and women. They take their place as those who arise and shine to provide light to every sphere in which they walk.

Earlier in the ceremony, we set in our new Rookies (K-2nd grade) and promoted the Protégés (3-6) and Apprentices (7-9) who have reached the next stage of their Legacy journey, and these younger students can look forward to the time when they will add their light to the community in which they shine.
