Homecoming 2021
Our first Legacy Academy Homecoming was a resounding success on Friday. It was such a great way to celebrate our ladies and remind us all that true beauty is found in the Lord.
1 Peter 3:3-4
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
The day included a mom/daughter tea, getting ready for the evening, and a beautiful ceremony before the ballgames. Our ladies had a beautiful day together, learning about their true value as women, what God defines as real beauty, building their relationships with their mothers, and celebrating their growth into beautiful young women of God.
It also reminded and demonstrated to us the powerful relationship that God created between parents and their children: to encourage, to strengthen, to come alongside, correct as necessary, and to be a pattern of godliness in all things. Our moms had the opportunity to declare their fierce love for their daughters - even when that means doing what is hard or disagreeing with them - in order to show their love for the treasures entrusted to them by God.
We know that moms and daughters are supposed to be best friends, teammates, and mentors and we saw this shining on display - we thank God for you so much and are grateful for each of you!

Christmas Program & Service Project
The Legacy Academy Christmas Program will take place on Thursday at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. It will feature seasonal music from students of all ages, as well as readings of scriptures and poems telling us of the birth of Christ and the opportunity we have to be thankful for the most wonderful gift that God has given to us - His Son. All students, even those not in the program, are expected to attend and all students should wear their formal uniform.
On Friday, we will have our annual Service Project, which will take place during the afternoon from 12:40-3:00. Students will be making and writing cards to send out to the community. Parents and families are invited to come along for a glass of hot chocolate and a festive end to a successful semester. Students may check out with their parents any time in the afternoon.
Christmas Break
We have had a full, enjoyable first semester of our 15th year at Legacy Academy. Enjoy a two week break - time with family; remembering the precious gift that God gave us; rest after a full semester; and we will see you in two weeks ready for more in the second semester!
