Junior High Girls HCAA 1A State Champions!
Junior High Girls HCAA 1A State Champions!

Founder's Note:

Congrats to our Junior Lady Warriors for securing the school's first Junior Girls Basketball State Championship. We are all proud of their hard work and dedication. They're a team of seven who demonstrated that hard work, development, and sheer persistence can pay off! It's easy to give up on sports quick and early. As humans we don't like what we are not yet good at. What a terrible catch to be in because we won't ever be good at it unless we endure the season of not being good. Well beyond the court, the ability to stick something out, develop, work hard, learn something and contribute to a team provide our athletes with lessons that will serve them well in all of life. Congrats, Ladies. We now look forward to Regional play beginning for our senior teams. Go Warriors!

Upcoming Events

Track Season is Here!

As one season winds down, another begins! We’re already looking ahead to the 2026 track season and are excited to get started.

Practices will tentatively be held on Mondays at Mineral Springs, with Tuesdays and Thursdays on our campus. On campus days, athletes will rotate between throwing and the weight room, while Mondays will focus primarily on running. The first practice will be on February 23rd, 3:00-4:30.

Below you’ll find the linked schedule. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Webb or Coach Garner.

Carnival of Culture

We are excited to announce that our Carnival of Culture will take place on February 24th from 2:00–3:00 PM! This event is designed to bring together our classical education approach across all grade levels, connecting students through shared learning in history, literature—both real world and fictional—and cultures from around the globe.

Our aim is to deepen students’ understanding, foster compassion, and broaden their knowledge of both God and the world He has made. Each class will participate in unique ways, exploring a different culture or time period through hands-on activities, history connections, and literature-based learning.

Families are invited to attend! We will begin in the cafeteria at 2:00 PM with a short introduction and directions before students guide you through their cultural stations.

Teachers will send specific instructions or requests related to your student(s) through Remind, so please keep an eye on your messages for class-level details.

Thank you for your support—we look forward to celebrating this enriching school-wide experience together!

Warriors Invited to NCSAA National Championship Tournament

The Warriors Boys Varsity Team has earned an exciting opportunity to compete at the National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) national championship tournament in the 1A division. This event offers a valuable chance for our players, especially our senior James, to grab additional games after several weather-related cancellations this season. The team will travel together, stay on campus in dorms, and enjoy provided meals during the day.

DATES: March 5-7, 2026

LOCATION: Cedarville University (Cedarville, OH)

The event gathers top Christian school teams from across the country to compete in a spirited and respectful environment. The Warriors will compete in the 1A division, facing strong opponents that will test their skills and teamwork.

The team will travel by bus to the tournament location and stay on campus in dormitories. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day, while players will be responsible for their own evening meals and should also bring snacks of their choosing.

Highlights of the Past Week

Muffins with Mom!

Muffins with Mom was a wonderfully well-attended event filled with joyful fellowship and meaningful connection across our Legacy Academy community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all who joined us and helped make the morning such a blessing. We were especially encouraged by our guest speaker, Lynette Gilmore, who shared a rich and thoughtful message on the Proverbs 31 woman, charging mothers to intentionally raise their daughters in wisdom and godliness while offering practical encouragement for the journey.

The much-anticipated muffin baking contest was a delightful addition to this year’s event! Congratulations to our category winners:

Classical FruitStrawberry Strudel by Mrs. & Miss Martinez

Savory & HeartyWonderfully Wonky Huevos by Mrs. & Miss Ward

Chocolate IndulgenceFudge Brownie Muffins by Mrs. Higgins & Miss Hill.

A sincere thank-you to our judges—Sally Hennard, Katie Herweck, and Angelia Talley—may your taste buds continue to tingle with delight all weekend long!

"Training young girls to become a Proverbs 31 woman is not about creating a "superwoman" who does everything perfectly, but rather nurturing a heart that fears the Lord, acts with wisdom, and serves with strength." ~ Lynette Gilmore.

🎉🏆 STATE CHAMPS! 🏆🎉

Huge congratulations to our Junior Girls for taking STATE with an incredible final score of 27–20! Your hard work, teamwork, and determination paid off in the biggest way. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 💪🔥
