Curriculum Fees Are Now Past Due
Curriculum fees for the 2026–2027 school year were due August 1 and are now past due.
As a reminder, this once-a-year fee is $200 for students in K–12 and $100 for PK students. These fees help cover curriculum materials and resources used throughout the school year.
If you have not yet submitted your payment, please do so as soon as possible. Payments may be made online or in the front office.

Adventure Awaits! K-2 Reading Camp | August 4-6
We are excited to invite your child to our Reading Camp, a special three-morning experience designed to spark a love for books and stories!
From August 4–6, incoming Kindergarten–2nd grade students will enjoy engaging reading activities each day from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Lunch is provided, and the cost is $25 per student.
On Thursday, students are invited to bring their favorite book and come dressed as their favorite book character. We look forward to sharing a joyful week of reading adventures with your child!
Otter Basketball Team Days | August 10–14
Junior and senior high basketball players will participate in Otter Basketball Team Days from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. each day. Led by nationally recognized basketball trainer Jason Otter, this intensive week will focus on skill development, conditioning, teamwork, and preparing athletes for the upcoming season.
Attendance is mandatory for all junior and senior high basketball players.
Student Volunteers Needed! Service Hours Available!
We need student volunteers to help us clean, organize, and prepare the campus for the new school year! There is still a lot to accomplish before students return, and your help would make a tremendous difference.
This is a great opportunity for students to get some required service hours while helping Legacy get ready for another successful school year.

Legacy Academy Book Club | August 15
Students in grades 7–12 are invited to join us as we continue reading Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien! Our next meeting will be Saturday, August 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Micah 6:8 in De Queen. Come ready for great conversation, fellowship, and another adventure together!

Texas Tax-Free Weekend is August 7–9, making it a great time to get your back-to-school shopping done and save a little along the way.

House Party Recap
What a fun evening of fellowship! Legacy families and friends gathered to enjoy dinner together, play games, and participate in some friendly House competition. Thank you to Ms. Gilmore for preparing a delicious meal and to everyone who joined us. It was a wonderful night to relax, reconnect, and enjoy time together as a school community!

We are prayerfully planning for the 2026–2027 school year and would love to know your family’s intentions. If you anticipate your student returning to Legacy Academy, please take a moment to complete the Re-Enrollment Application. Your response helps us plan effectively for classes, staffing, and resources. We are grateful for your continued partnership!
Make it a WIN-WIN: If a new family enrolls new students and lists you as the referral reason they are applying, then you will receive a $250 credit in the Warrior Shop for the next school year!

While the calendar is considered final for planning purposes, please note that minor adjustments may occasionally be necessary throughout the year. Any changes will be communicated through the weekly newsletter and reflected on the school Google Calendar.
