How You Win & Lose Matters
This past week our players have won and lost some close games this last week. Importantly, they maintained good character, even amidst difficult environments. One of the things we love most is that Legacy players do NOT talk back to their coaches or act in a disrespectful way. They do not talk back to the refs or give the refs grief or looks. They do not taunt the other team or gloat toward them. They do not curse and act foolish while playing. They are coachable. They work hard. They never quit. They work as a team. They play with discipline and effort. They learn from their mistakes! Great job to our teams this week. It was impressive.

The regular season is almost over and tournaments will soon begin for Junior High and Senior High.
HCAA 1A Junior High Tournament- 1/31-2/5
2/1/22, Tuesday: Legacy Junior High boys will play against Trinity Christian at 4pm at Gospel Light in Hot Springs at 4pm. (if we win, we will play again on 2/4 at 4pm. If we win that round, we will play on Saturday, 2/5)
2/3/22, Thursday: Legacy Junior High girls will play against Trinity Christian at 5pm at Columbia Christian in Magnolia. (If we win, we will play again on Saturday, 2/5/22.)
2/10-22/2022 The Senior boys regional tournament will begin the week of 2/10 and be followed by the HCAA State Tournament. Brackets will be posted once they have been released.

Basketball Senior Night--Friday 1/28/22
Friday, January 28, we have our last regular season home game, at which we will honor our senior athletes: Gracie Tucker and Jessica Nogueira. We have a full schedule of games that night with all four of our teams playing, starting from 4:30.
Let's fill out the Warrior Gym to honor our seniors! Both of these ladies have put in some great work this season. The presentation will take place before the Senior Girls game, at approximately 6:30pm. Thank you, ladies, for all your hard work and dedication on the court and off it - Work Hard, Play Hard!
Senior High Tournament Shirts
Tournament shirts for Senior High players can still be bought; payment can be made by check (make payable to HCAA) or on the LA online store. The deadline for orders is Friday, January 28.
Scheduling Update: Oratory Night--Thursday, 3.10.2022.
Our annual Oratory Night has moved and will now be taking place on Thursday, March 10. LA held its inaugural Oratory Night last year, an evening of poetry recitals, historical speeches, and scripture readings, performed by students of all ages.
