School Supply List

Our school supply list for the 23-24 year has been published. Please make note of your child's grade as some of the items change.

Orientation & Open House

On Thursday, August 24, we have our Orientation & Open House, which is an important event to kick off the year. It will include a lot of useful information for the coming year, share the heart and vision of Legacy Academy, and remind us of all of our parts of the LA family. It is required for every family to be present at Orientation.

After the orientation session, there will be an opportunity for all families and students to meet their teachers, see their new classrooms, and have a look around the campus. Come and see all the hard work done over the summer at our school.

Accreditation

Legacy Academy has taken a HUGE step forward! This week we received official notification that we have been accredited by Cognia, the North Central Association of Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation. Cognia is a rigorous and nationally and state-recognized K-12 accreditation organization. This is the result of a laborious three-year process.

Thank you to all those who have worked hard to get us to this point and for the rest that still needs to be done.

The Lord is faithful to us and has provided us with all the resources, people, and grace that we have needed to make it this far. We are confident and full of faith that He will continue to do so as we continue in our faithful obedience to Him.

Other News

ENROLLING:

While some grades will now require a waiting list, for most grades it is not too late to enroll! Spread the word and help the families you know to give their students the best in Christian education. Between the new LEARNS Act and other scholarships, there is lots of help for families.

ENROLLING DAYCARE NOW!

The new daycare, Bright Beginnings, is now enrolling for our August 28th opening. Spots are first come first serve but priority is given to families with students enrolled in K-12. Don't miss your spot because it is filling up quickly!

NEW YEAR PAPERWORK, TUITION & CURRICULUM FEE

Note that all curriculum fees are due August 15th. All families must have completed enrollment paperwork on file with the office before your student can begin on the first day of school. Please cooperate with the office to complete any outstanding paperwork needed from you!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

We have a short list of things to be done this month before school opens. Can you donate just a few hours to pitch in? Call the office and arrange a time and get an assignment that you can help with--changing out bulbs or air filters, washing windows, organizing library books, assembling furniture, buffing floors, setting up the kitchen, and helping teachers set up classrooms. These are among many tasks that a few extra hands would help tremendously with. If every family pitches in the work with be easily done. Has your family pitched in yet?
