LA News -- April 1st

Founder's Note

Everywhere this weekend Christians celebrated the Resurrection of Christ. Without the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins and without His resurrection there would be no path to God and a victorious Christian life for us. Importantly, this is a time we can think about what it truly means to be born again. What does it mean to live a resurrected life? Resurrected from being a prisoner to sin, from being trapped in darkness. As God's most treasured creation we are of tremendous value to him, but we also have a real enemy who wants to keep us locked in sin. The enemy wants to keep us from living full lives of purpose and destiny that can only be found in Christ! Let this be a time to reset life and to start new and fresh with God both in your life and in your home. Use this time to make new commitments with your children to love and serve the Lord together in your home and to live life as a family that pleases Him. He is our Resurrection!

Spring Follies -- April 5th 6:30PM

We are getting ready for the funniest night of the year, Spring Follies 2024!

Our students are working hard to get ready for this great day! Lower Level rehearsals will be taking place during the school day; Upper Level will use after-school rehearsal time. If your child will not be able to attend an after-school rehearsal, please let us know as far in advance as possible so we can make best use of the time we have.

Parents, if teachers have asked for your help with costumes or props, please send them to school on Monday ready for rehearsals this week.

On Friday, students should be at school by 6pm. We can't wait to see you all there, and watch all the preparation pay off! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors. It's going to be a great night!

Solar Eclipse -- April 8th

On Monday, April 8, part of Arkansas will experience a total solar eclipse. Our school is in the path of totality so we are aiming to have a normal school morning and then do fun activities and watch the eclipse starting at about 12:20pm. Classes will have an hour or so of activities until totality at 1:46pm. School will be in session for normal hours. Parents and families are invited to join us for the afternoon Eclipse events, too. You may want to bring a lawn chair, water, and some sunscreen.
