This Week
Otter Basketball Team Camp | August 10–13
Warrior Basketball Team Camp is next week! Trainer Jason Otter will work with our players Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. This camp is an important investment in skill development, teamwork, and preparation for the upcoming basketball season.
All members of the Junior and Senior boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are required to attend. We are also asking all students entering 6th grade or higher who plan to play basketball this year to participate.
As a small school, every player matters! Our Junior teams especially need additional players to ensure we can field both teams. Please plan accordingly—we look forward to a great week of hard work, growth, and fun!
XC Update | Practice Schedule Changes
There will be no XC practice next week due to Otter Camp. If you will not be attending Otter Camp, get with Coach Webb, and you will get a running plan to complete for the week.
Starting August 17th, practice will change to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30–7:30. Once meets begin, we will evaluate the practice schedule depending on meet days.
Remember, if you are unable to attend practice, it is your responsibility to let the coach know in advance.
We need everyone we can get to form teams for competition this year! If your student is in 6th grade or above, please encourage them to join us for practice.
Welcome to the Warrior Family!
We are thrilled to welcome two new teachers to our Lower Level team! Mrs. Robin Jordan will be teaching Pre-K, and Mrs. Sara Stewart will be teaching second grade.
We are so excited to have them join the Legacy family and look forward to the joy, care, and enthusiasm they will bring to their classrooms. Please join us in giving them a warm Warrior welcome!
Book Club Location & Time Change | August 15
Book Club will now meet at the Sevier County Library at 10:00 a.m. Feel free to bring your coffee—just be sure it has a lid! We look forward to continuing our adventure through Roverandom together!

Texas Tax-Free Weekend is August 7–9, making it a great time to get your back-to-school shopping done and save a little along the way.

Parent Orientation | August 20
All parents are required to attend Parent Orientation on Thursday, August 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This meeting is for parents only—students will have their opportunity to visit campus during Open House on August 25.
We will cover important information for the upcoming school year, including changes to our dress code policy and updates to the Student Handbook.
We are looking forward to gathering with our parents as we prepare our hearts and minds for the year ahead. Please make plans to join us for this important time of information, preparation, and shared vision!
Open House | August 25
Students and parents are invited to Open House on Tuesday, August 25, at 6:00 p.m.! Come meet your teachers, visit classrooms, drop off school supplies, and get ready for the new school year.
We are looking forward to welcoming our Warrior families back to campus and beginning another wonderful year together!
Student Volunteers Needed! Service Hours Available!
We need student volunteers to help us clean, organize, and prepare the campus for the new school year! There is still a lot to accomplish before students return, and your help would make a tremendous difference.
This is a great opportunity for students to get some required service hours while helping Legacy get ready for another successful school year.

Curriculum Fees Are Now Past Due
Curriculum fees for the 2026–2027 school year were due August 1 and are now past due.
As a reminder, this once-a-year fee is $200 for students in K–12 and $100 for PK students. These fees help cover curriculum materials and resources used throughout the school year.
If you have not yet submitted your payment, please do so as soon as possible. Payments may be made online or in the front office.

Reading Camp Adventures!
Reading Camp was filled with stories, imagination, and adventure! Our campers played games, hunted for treasure, and even found themselves ambushed by pirates along the way!
To finish the week, students dressed as their favorite book characters and shared some of their favorite stories. It was a joyful week of reading, creativity, and fun! Thank you to everyone who helped make Reading Camp such a memorable adventure for our young readers!
Enrollment Is Still Open for 2026–2027!

While the calendar is considered final for planning purposes, please note that minor adjustments may occasionally be necessary throughout the year. Any changes will be communicated through the weekly newsletter and reflected on the school Google Calendar.
